We were seated in the floor trying to crack the code on some alchemical journals Hughes and his team had found last week. It was the fourth night in a row that week that we had spent knee deep in reference books and elbow deep in questions. You got up on your knees, reached over my shoulder for a book. It slipped through your fingers and when you lost your balance you landed on me. We chuckled but the sound died in both our throats the moment our eyes met and the world stopped spinning.

I’m not sure which one of us made the first move and I don’t care.

The very air seemed to ignite between us and before anything remotely resembling my senses came back to me we were kissing like long lost lovers. The only concern I had was enjoying the way your tongue was dueling with mine as we let whatever had sparked between us carry us away. Every nerve in my body flared to life when I sucked on your bottom lip and you moaned my name. I wrapped my arms around you and your body conformed to mine as we lay molded together like two pieces of a whole in front of my fireplace.

My hands found their way under your shirt and down your back causing your hips to rock forward. White hot desire like nothing else I’ve ever felt in my life coursed through my veins. I didn’t know my own damn name in that moment. Time ceased to have meaning and the only thing I knew for certain was that I wanted you and I wasn’t going to be content until I had you.

I rolled us over and kissed my way down your neck causing your back to arch as your fingers wound in my hair. The sounds you were making was undoing something in my brain, awakening something primal within me that I didn’t know existed. I wanted to draw every wanton sound out of you that you could make. I wanted to taste you. I wanted to feel every inch of your skin. I wanted to make you quiver at my touch.

I wanted to claim you.

I was unbuttoning the shirt you had on and the rush of air across your exposed flesh must have pulled you back to reality. You were calling my name and it took me a while to realize your hands were pushing weakly against my chest. I looked down into your flushed, panting face and it took more willpower than I thought I had at my disposal to stop what I was doing.

You pushed yourself up on your elbows and when I extended a hand to pull you into a seated position I’m surprised the sparks weren’t visible when we touched. You jerked your hand back from mine and were on your feet before I could blink.

“Ed…”

Your body was trembling, your chest was heaving and the moment those golden eyes met mine your face flushed crimson. Turning away and moving toward the door you swallowed hard and said, “I… it’s… it’s late I… I’ll see you tomorrow.”

You bolted out of my house like a man chased. Leaving me sitting in the floor, hard as steel and feeling more lost than I have in years. Roy Mustang did not get flustered and confused in these matters, but there I was, staring after you like a moron without a clue.

“Fuck,” I mumbled under my breath. “What the hell was that? What just happened between us, Edward?”

Yum, l really liked this. l don't know how feel about using second-person in an erotic situation and the last line was fine, but I've always doubted whether people actually talk aloud to themselves like this. Otherwise, great work!

I hadn't really thought about how the second person would be taken as this is how it came to me and I am a horrible slave to my muse.

Second person is always tricky and I totally understand being a slave to the muse! (Mine likes to torment in the middle of the night with epic plots). I think the hardest part about second person is maintaining a character's voice while getting through important exposition like location, who's doing what, etc.

Last lines, not to be repetitive, are also tricky especially when you aren't quite sure (in this particular case) whether you want to continue said piece.

I am playing around with tenses and giving myself projects to strengthen my writing. I feel that humor and deep-felt emotion are weak points for me so I've been trying to work on that when my OT3 isn't taking over my brain ^_^

Last lines are indeed a pill, so more often than not I just let it flow because if I don't a piece may hang in limbo on my hard drive indefinitely because I can't decide how to end it... *sighs*

I think I shall go check out you Lj to see what your muse has you up to ^_^

Humor is the bane of my existence and I am forever envious of Bob fish and Skydark's talent for gut-busting hilarity. Deep-felt emotion on the other hand feeds my angst machine. It can be painful, but I find the most effective way to get to that emotion is to dig deep into those painful, humiliating, shameful parts of my life. Now that I think about it, I really don't recommend this method, it can turn me inside out for days, but it is effective (at least for me).

I hate OT3s or maybe just mine (RoyEdRiza). The dynamic is soooo impossible sometimes. Riza just sits there looking bored at me and Roy is too busy leering at Ed. And Ed is just Ed.

On last lines, and then this frickin essay will be over, promise, is that at least you get it out. I let stuff rot on my HD forever because something could be tweaked to be just a little better....

This is so NOT a oneshot... I demand MORE and I am not even a Roy/Ed shipper!! LOL This was so believable and perfect... you have to continue it!! I love how you wrote it from Roy's POV... Its amazing... maybe get vexed or someone else to do Ed's POV so we see why he left... this story begs of plotline and more smut!! <3

As for Invdia I do have the next chapter done. Problem is with that series I like to have at least 3 chapters ahead of what I'm posting to make sure I don't write myself in a corner. I was updating so fast before because I wrote the fist 12 chapters in the space of a week... but for you I may make an exception *hugs on you* You are the one that really motivates me on this one *luffs on you*

Mmm...very delicious! You definitely captured the heat and the tension of the moment. I'm really curious about what happens next and I'm glad to hear there will eventually be more. The first person tense is definitely a bit strange for this fandom but you pulled it off very well.

I was having a "I want to write something passionate" moment the muse picked Roy/Ed and this is the way it crawled out of my head.

I'm glad to hear the tense flowed with this nicely and I hope I can continue to do as well in the future parts of Aveo. ^_^
