The brilliant rays of the morning sun streamed through the canopy of trees illuminating two lovers as they lay entwined with each other on the forest floor. Silver tresses had mingled with raven locks as the lovers slept.

Inuyasha pulls back and looks down at the flushed and sweaty face of Bankotsu and smiles. As odd as the situation was between them it worked and they’d managed to fall in love somewhere along the way. It’s been an interesting few months and they are both tired of the mystery, lies and all the other bullshit that comes along with keeping a secret of this magnitude from so many people.

This is why they have both vowed to tell their respective groups this very day and be done with it. For good or ill, it had to be handled. It would be better for the people involved to be told instead of accidentally finding out. Not that it’s any of their damn business when it came down to it but it was the principle of the matter. Friends and colleagues had a tendency to get bent out of shape when they found themselves in the dark about certain things.

Yes, it was definitely better to tell them.

Inuyasha had just stood and stretched when a startled sound reached his ears. Looking around despite not wanting too, he saw the slack-jawed face of the effeminate mercenary that was his lover’s best friend. The man was looking from his nude form to the equally nude but sleeping form of Bankotsu.

So much for handling the situation with grace.

Inuyasha guessed it was time to wake his lover up and do some damage control. It was going to be a long day.
