She’d never seen a smile so bright.
Not the sarcastic smirk or conniving grin Inuyasha usually wore but a true smile. They were alone by the riverbank washing their weapons after a recent battle. Sango was so focused on the task at hand that when a flock of birds flew out of the bushes behind her she found herself in the river with Hiraikotsu.
She would have been pissed if she hadn’t heard the most lighthearted sound coming from the bank. She turned and that’s when she saw it.
She promised to do whatever was needed to see it again.
