When Roy couldn't get any answer at the house or reach Russell at work he decided to leave the office and go check on Ed himself.

He hadn't made it down the hall before Havoc came running after him to tell him that Russell said to meet him at Central Regional.

When Roy arrived Ed was getting X-rayed and Russell was in the hall looking frazzled. The moment he saw Roy he brought him up to speed on everything that had happened for them to wind up at the hospital.

In short, Russell had returned home to check on Ed only to find him on the couch with a fever high enough to render him lethargic and somewhat delirious.

"Are one of you with Mr. Elric?"

"We both are," Russell replied as they pointedly ignored the arched eyebrow the doctor gave them.

"Mr. Elric is suffering from pneumonia. It's not advanced at this point but it can put up a fight. I'd like to keep him overnight for observation."

"To be honest doctor…"

"Hagen."

"To be honest Dr. Hagen he hates hospitals. If we can do what's necessary at home I think that would be best."

"I understand, I have had the … privilege of treating Mr. Elric before when he was younger. I still have a scar from the bite mark."

"A Shot?" Roy guessed.

"Catheter," the doctor corrected. "He was brought in barely conscious after a building collapsed on him and I wrongfully thought it best if he not move."

Both alchemists flushed cherry red at the doctor's bitter sarcasm. Ed really could be a handful at times.

"So would you release him?"

"Gladly."

With that, the doctor gave them the necessary medicine, instructions and they took a groggy, feverish Edward home.

Ed is such a lousey patient. He just hates following orders, doctor's or otherwise. Still, between the two of them, I think Roy and Russell will be able come up with ways to motivate him. Mainly by keeping him between the two of them.

LOL Ed is a very lousy patient he is so stubborn that doing what's good for him gets lost in the mix.

I'm sure they can manage... but there might be a small hitch...

Oh poor Ed, he really is sick!! I love how comical this was, with Ed's prior behaviour making the doctors more than willing to discharge him!! I had to smile at that!! Its okay cuz he will be well taken care of by his boys anyways!! <3

Yeah I am sure Dr. Hagen will never forget Ed and I think I have found an OC that I will hang onto him.

They will take excellent care of him... or at least try...
