Ed was gone for three weeks on a mission and returned looking (and sounding) a little worse for wear.

Roy and Russell didn't take it too seriously at first but the second night Ed picked at his dinner then went to bed early the alarm was officially sounded.

The next morning did not go well.

"We think you need to see a doctor."

"I'm happy the two of you can agree on something," was Ed’s flippant response.

"We're serious Ed. You haven't been the same since you returned from New Optain," Russell pointed out as he sat a cup of coffee and two cherry turnovers in front of his grumpy lover.

"That mission was a pain and I've got a little cold, it's nothing to…" Ed couldn't finish his statement due to the coughing fit that had overtaken him.

When he was done he looked up at Roy and Russell with watery eyes and said, "Bite me, I don't need a doctor."

"Will you at least take a couple of days off?"

"Don't need too, it's just a cold," he repeated.

"I could order you off for a few days," Roy said and immediately regretted it.

Ed could give a truly scathing look like no one else on the planet and at that moment he was giving Roy one that was threatening to dissolve the man’s soul.

"Ed just stay home today at least," Russell said quickly before Ed could give Roy the vicious tongue lashing that look was promising.

"Fine," Ed said as he got up from the table and stomped out of the room.

He may have appeared fine but the coughing fit and untouched breakfast said otherwise.

I have to wonder if Ed will be one of those guys that when they get acutely sick their bodies go into "I may die, I must propagate my genes!!" mode and become insanely horny, even when they are so sick they can barely get out of bed.

I've been told that It makes for a quite pitiful situation.

LOl Lux I hadn't thought about that but that would actually be hilarious!! I think the next time I make one of the boys sick I may go with that (This series is already complete).

Yes him not eating is indeed a sign of things gone awry... I don't think Russ and Roy will drag their heels too long.
