Riza’s hands were shaking.

Her throat was dry.

She couldn’t believe what she was looking at and leave it to Edward to be so nonchalant about it. She was bent over in the kitchen digging under the sink for the roasting pan when it happened. He’d grabbed the hand she had on the cabinet door and slipped a ring on her finger.

Just like that.

Thinking it was just a gift of some sort, imagine her surprise when her eyes fell upon what was obviously an engagement ring.

Since she couldn’t speak, she kissed him until he got the message.
