I did, years ago when I was stuck home recovering from surgery. It is 4 discs and I needed to schedule that much gaming time in advance.
I loved FFVIII so much, I keep the ending animation on my iPad to watch when I'm in need of a 3 min final fantasy break.
I wouldn't mind a chocobo as a pet either :)
