Even though they were yelling at him to stop Roy didn't... he couldn’t.
Archer was well beyond the reach of the pain Mustang strove to put him in but Roy kept trying anyway. In his opinion the reprehensible maggot hadn’t suffered long enough. No, in Roy’s mind, that sick excuse for a man could never - ever - suffer enough.
Roy had forced himself to look past and try to move away from the horror the bastard had brought into his own life so many years ago but when he had walked in on him committing those same unforgivable acts on... in a gagged but still screaming Edward he’d snapped both figuratively and literally.
Once he had pulled the man away from his latest victim. Roy snapped for every time those festering hands had ever touched him against his will when he was not much older than Ed.
He snapped for every nights rest he has ever lost due to nightmares that still plagued Roy even after all these years.
He snapped for every time the slimy bastard had leered at him and made his skin crawl.
He snapped for the terrified strangled sound he heard coming out of an otherwise fearless young man that was now scarred for life.
He snapped for no one ever having the balls to rid the Amestrian ranks of the abomination known as Lieutenant Colonel Frank Archer.
His list of crimes was long, twisted and bleak... and Roy was determined to snap until he burned every one of the man’s victims absolution into what was left of his nonexistent soul.
