It shouldn’t have come to this.
Damn him for never knowing when to quit. The sight of the pool of crimson gathering around the flame wielding bang baby would haunt Virgil for the rest of his days. He would never figure out what had possessed the redhead to do it. He had watched in horror as the jolt of electricity ripped through his classmate tearing his clothes to ribbons leaving him motionless on the ground.
He should have backed down but he didn’t. For Virgil there was no escaping the fact he’d killed and nothing would ever be the same.
