Summary: Inuyasha is tired of being on a leash.
He wasn’t sure what she wanted out of him but he knew he didn’t like her sickly sweet tone of voice. She only said his name like that when she wanted something and he knew better than to keep her waiting. As he tromped toward Kaede’s hut he tugged on the necklace around his neck and snorted. He remembered all too well what happened last time he told her to wait.
It wasn’t pretty.
No Inuyasha knew there was no escaping whatever chore she had in mind for him to do so he might as well suck it up and quit whining. There was always the hope of some ramen to be had as a reward for being a “good little doggy.”

Summary: Richie has lived his worst nightmare
He never wanted to feel that sensation again. That helpless, overwhelmed, and violated feeling that came with being under Brainiac’s control. Those were the longest days of his life and it was an emotional and physical agony he never wanted to endure again. Richie would almost rather die first. Not only did he have no control over himself the callus entity made him watch the takeover of the Justice League and destruction of nearly half the city.
The screams, he couldn’t escape the sound of the screaming. There was never any where to hide from it. Richie felt like a child locked in their bedroom closet with a mechanical Boogieman. Brainiac certainly lived up to everything every horror movie or dark novel ever said a villain would be.
Richie never wanted to feel that sensation again because he knew if he did there would be no escaping a second time.

Impostor. Madman. Such wasted brilliance.
He’s done all he can do to right the wrongs of his past actions but it doesn’t seem to do any good. All they can see are his sins and there was no escaping the scarlet letter they’ve branded him with.
Should have been court-martialed. Charlatan. Just a child in over his head.
There were days when he wished he’d never heard of alchemy, or the philosopher’s stone. Other days he had to resist the urge to snap at them and remind them how dangerous he is. They were fools to goad a person with his skills as they do but they know that his guilt will keep him in check.
Russell could hear them but it didn’t matter he could ignore them; he was getting good at that.
