Ah, ok. Her harddrive is somehow corrupted. She might have gotten something really nasty in there (virus), or her comp might just be old. Either way, I'd try a clean wipe, re-installation, if she has her windows disk. Trying to reinstall it without wiping it won't work.
*Old as in seriously used. I see that it's only an 05, in which case, I'd guess that something got in there.
