Disclaimer: I make no claims of ownership even if that fact makes me sniffle.

He knows he shouldn’t be worried.

He knows Ed loves him just like he loves Ed.

He knows it was over between Ed and Roy years ago.

He wanted to stay glued to Ed’s side until the old bastard was gone.

It took everything he had not to stalk Ed while Roy was in town. He had to fight the urge to follow Ed to Al and Wrath’s when they were putting in the pond. Russell knew his behavior was agitating Ed so he clinched his fists, put on a smile and waved to his lover when he had announced that he was going to go help Al.

As it was, it was hard enough for Russell to sit at work while the cocky bastard was lurking around town. Letting Ed wander off to mingle with Roy without him around was almost impossible to do. He knew he shouldn’t feel that way but he did and the way Roy looked at Ed didn’t help. Oh no, that didn’t help at all, he looked at Ed like Ed was still his to be drooling over and what was worse was the way Ed looked at him sometimes.

Nothing as lewd as Roy’s looks but it was worse in a way. It was more longingly warm than anything else and it made Russell want to scream. Did he expect Ed to forget about what they had shared? No he did not. However what he did expect was Ed to put the bastard in his place instead of being seemingly unfazed by Roy’s staring and fawning.

Yes, Russell had issues and nothing less than Roy Mustang taking his ass back to Central was going to fix it.
