“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are but I don’t call anyone Master,” Ed snarled.

“Think what you want little not quite human. Everything you once knew as any sort of truth is now null and void.”

“What do you mean, not quite human?” Roy asked as he narrowed his eyes at the demon.

“You Mr. Mustang were altered by the vampire Vorigan and your mouthy friend was altered the werewolf Nuntis.”

“That’s all well and fucking good,” Ed shouted. “But if you own their souls why involve us in whatever sick game you’re playing?”

The demon raised his hand and Roy watched as some unseen force lifted Ed off the ground. He hung there in the air kicking, cursing and helpless. Roy stepped forward but halted when the demon smiled and asked him if he wanted to join his friend.

“Get to what you want from us?”

“I want you to do what these two fools could not.”

It was then that Ed and Roy took a good look at the men with the demon and noticed the vacancy in their eyes.

“Are they even alive?”

“The power has nearly consumed their souls, they are my puppets now. If you two work out I will let them crumble to dust like they should have long ago.”

“If we help you, do we get rid of this… alteration you have bestowed upon us?”

“I promise nothing and you will help me regardless.”

“If we refuse?” Ed asked.

“I will make you regret it in ways you cannot even imagine.”

With that said, he dropped Ed like a stone.

“Much has happened this night alone, you have a lot to adjust to. I shall return when it suits me.”

They faded leaving Ed and Roy alone.
