Title: For A Cause: The Flicker of a Dark Light
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Genre: Romance/Comedy/Horror - AU
Characters/Pairing: Roy/Ed
Word Count: 300
Rating: T
Warnings/Spoilers: None
Summary: The situation is not looking good.
They were snarling at each other, ready to do battle before Ed tossed Roy aside. When Roy appeared back in front of him in no time, Ed jumped back.
Far back, as in twenty feet back and whispered, “Stop and think Roy we have to think.”
Something in Ed’s tone superseded Roy’s urge to challenge him. Roy clenched his fists at his sides, closed his eyes and tried to calm down. He recalled the club, a stranger, darkness then waking in a forest.
Not a normal chain of events for him.
“What the hell’s gone on, Ed?”
“I don’t know but us ripping each other apart won’t get us an answer.”
“How were you able to jump back like that?”
“I’m guessing the same way you were able to pop in front of me in a blink. The dude that took you must have changed us somehow.”
“You are partially correct in that,” a strange chilling voice said. “Both of these men had a hand in your change.”
When they turned, they saw three men emerge from a fog. One was the man from the club and the other two looked like equally bad news to Ed and Roy.
“You two,” said the eerie man in the middle, “have been chosen by me to help bring order.”
“What kind of order?” Roy asked.
“My order,” the man replied and if they weren’t mistaken the other two men bristled.
“They don’t look happy about that,” Ed replied.
“They aren’t but since their existence now hangs by my idea of balance they have to deal with their discontent.”
“Who the fuck are you exactly?” Ed asked growing agitated.
“My name is not important Mr. Elric but I’m feeling generous. I’m a demon and from here on out you can call me Master.”
