Cravings last for about 15 minutes (according to the literature), so here is what you do. Distract yourself. I know it sounds weird, but it really does work. I am a smoker, but when I visit my mom I can't have any, so for the few days I'm there it is cold turkey. When the craving hits find something that you can immerse yourself in, read a book, watch an anime episode, read some (pron) fanfiction, call a friend, anything that will distract you from the craving. Usually you find that way more time has passed and the craving isn't really there anymore.

Now, something that might help you in general. Every night before bed (when I do it, you can do it when it suits you) get your music player and put on something you like. While it is playing you have two choices, either you can focus on the music and let your thoughts free flow without thinking of your troubles, or you can focus on a fantasy/dream/made up stuff and make your own story. This is my form of meditation. I'm WAY to ADHD to do normal meditation so I have found that this works best for me. I suggested it to a friend and she found that doing it helped level herself out at the end of the day so she wasn't so stressed the next day.

I hope something I rambled about helps...
