I miss you like a grounded eagle misses the sky, yet when I think of you, I can’t help but smile. My love for you was something I never expected but cherished in ways words can’t describe.
Some memories were too sweet to be heart wrenching.
I can still see you reclined on the deck, listening to my jazz music collection as the moonlight drenched your nearly naked body in another layer of perfection. The warm summer breeze caressing your skin in a way that made you sigh.
I will never forget you Edward, even if remembering you kills me.
You are never far from my mind even after all this time.
It takes nothing more than a bright ray of morning sunlight to bring you to mind. Forever an early riser it was nothing for me to wake on a Sunday morning and find you, book in hand, in the window seat. Reading glasses on with your sexy nerd look in full swing. You’d smile at me and all of my morning crankiness would fade away.
I shake my head to dislodge the memory but the longing for you remains.
Can I forget you Roy? Do I want to?
