Ed called Russell Blondie and he called Roy Sparky. He rarely used the nicknames but they existed all the same.
Ed was what you would call a diamond in the rough. So, of the three of them, anyone would have thought Ed to be the last one to give out pet-names but this was not the case.
Most didn’t know how much effort it had taken Ed to let his walls down. Loving meant vulnerability and Ed didn’t do vulnerable.
He had made that exception for them.
It was a sacrifice they would make sure he hadn’t made in vain.
