++Breda++

Your eyes keep drifting over to his empty desk and it takes a lot not to smack you in the back of the head so you'll snap out of this daze Ed puts you in.

I have work to do and it's not getting done with you being distracting.

As if you, just being you isn't distracting enough.

Part of me hopes they'll stay gone but knowing that will make you sad on some level has me torn. Just when I was about to ask you to lunch, the blonde menace returns and so does your smile.

I hate this.

++Havoc++

Maes returns to the office with the two of you.

Its lunchtime and we all head to Emma's for sandwiches. The big boys stay behind and I think you probably should have too but no authority on base could keep you from eating.

You order a sandwich that could have fed a small army and when it arrives you dig in with your usual zeal. I was smiling at your love of food when you stopped in mid bite.

Catching the waitress you place a to-go order for pastrami on rye.

Wouldn't want the Chief to go hungry would we?

++Ed++

See if I do anything nice for your ass again.

Shitty thing is I know I will. Despite your snarky response, despite the lack of appreciation I know I will. If I could kick my own ass for it I would.

I turn to leave you to the food you don't deserve when you say, "Don't worry Fullmetal, if I have any left I'll send it your way."

Something in me snaps.

Yanking the door open I say, "You know I've told you to go to hell many times. I think today is the first time I've really meant it."

++Roy++

My jaw is still on the floor as I watch Ed's angry march through the office and out into the hall.

He didn't shout it, he didn't slam the door hard enough to rattle the frame he simply fixed me with the coldest stare I'd ever seen in those golden eyes and told me to go to hell.

I don't think he left anyone that heard him with any doubt he was well and truly pissed and if the ground had swallowed me up I think he would have smiled about it.

I'm surprised by how much that thought stings.

Aww. M'starting to draw theories as to what will happen. And I know I'll love it even if I'm surprised. <3 Wonderful as this series always is.

:/ Man, Roy just takes the cake. Last time he felt like a jackass when Ed steadied him and he called him Maes and now he's "surprised" Ed is mad at him. Gee, I wonder why. *eyeroll* Maybe Ed should slug him with the automail and scream, "Pay attention to ME dammit!" Maybe then Roy will be able to catch a clue. :P Speaking of slugging, maybe Breda should punch the hell outta Havoc. Might be the only way to get his attention too. :/ I've never really cared all that much for Havoc so I can't help but wonder what Breda sees in him. Love is blind I suppose...

I'm still loving this series, painful though it is. I think it's the desperate yearning.

Yeah Roy is so oblivious in this it's painful. At least Jean has an excuse Breda is keeping a tight lid on how he feels where Ed is a bit more expressive even though he doesn't mean to be i.e. bringing Roy lunch back.

Yes I concur this does have that desperate soul deep yearning quality to it... I almost feel bad for doing this to them.
