The worst vacation ever.
That’s all Roy could think as he wandered around the streets of Paris trying to decipher a map and directions written in a foreign language.
The culture, the atmosphere, the everything was supposed to be romantic but it’s hard to see that when the person you were supposed to be meeting here took one look at you called you too short and left with a, “Enjoy Paris, monsieur Roy.”
She hadn’t even looked back.
This was the last time Roy used an online dating service.
All he wanted to do was find his hotel and sleep.

He was late.
It was nothing new but if he was late one more time his brother had threatened to set all of his brushes on fire using his paint thinner as the fuel.
He hadn’t meant to stay so long at the library but if Edouard had any passion that came close to rivaling his love of art it was books and reading.
Edouard hoped if he hurried he could remain in his younger brothers good graces.
He was rounding corners and racing down sidewalks at breakneck speeds. He thought he was home free until he ran into something.

The entire trip had been a bust, his simple outing to find food had turned into the Long Day’s Journey into Night and now some asshole had completely plowed him over. Flat on his back with his precious dinner spilled all over the street Roy, was ready to kill whoever it was that was sprawled out on top of him.
“Watch where you’re going jackass!” Roy snapped then he remembered the language barrier.
When the blond-haired man looked at him in confusion and asked, “Is monsieur looking for a donkey,” Roy thought he’d never quit laughing.
