Summary: Everyone's thinking but no one's acting. It's a rough road that our boy's are on.

Of all the bars, in all of downtown, in all of Central, you had to pick this one.
I have nothing against Ed. I just know the moment Jean see's him I might as well pay my tab and leave. I'll be entertaining myself anyway, might as well do it at home for free.
Jean spots him and waves him over in an enthusiastic manner that awakens the green-eyed monster in me.
Jean buys him a drink and the smile that comes with the thank you melts Jean to his seat.
I doubt either of them noticed when I left.

If I wasn't so hopelessly hung up on you it'd be amusing to sit here and listen to you try to convince, not only yourself, but me that you can't stand him. With you calling him names like Colonel Bastard and Captain Kiss-ass it's nearly convincing.
However, all this really proves is that even when you are away from him, he's still on your mind.
I tell you to relax because it's Friday, and order you something stiffer than a beer. It wasn't the way I wanted to spend an evening with you, but I'd take what I could get.

I'm cursed.
That's the only explanation for having the misfortune of running into you on a Saturday. My head still hurts from drinking with Havoc and the only thing I want to do is get the book Al requested from the library and go home.
It is apparently too much to ask.
You have the nerve to ask me about the report I tried to give you as you ignored me and my temper snapped. I've already told you to fuck off and stomped away before I realize you'd asked me to come over to your place.
I'm an idiot.

Distracting myself with in-depth discussions about alchemy wasn't happening unless, fuck off and die, was another way of saying, sure I'd love too. I know it was wrong of me to expect any different out of Ed after ignoring him in my office before leaving in the middle of what he was saying, but I had hoped for it all the same.
Precious few things took my mind off Maes and alchemy was one of them. Especially discussed at the level Ed could discuss it.
Just as well, last thing I need is to feel stupid on top of lonely.
