Amestris Map for UIA

I've had so much fun doing this that I think I've found a new hobby!  ^_^

There are some inconsistancies between your map and the canon map. I don't know if you did that for plot purposes or if it was accidental... (the first one that struck me was that Rush Valley should be between Central and Dublith - they passed through Rush Valley on their way to Dublith - and South City should be much further south)

^_^

Thanks for pointing that out I don't know how I managed to miss that and make that mistake...I have corrected it on my PC but I will wait a few days to see if more input comes my way. *hugs* do you have anything you want to add? (there will be a LOT of traveling in Underneath It All)

^_^ There were some other inconsistancies, but I'd only be going off that map image I linked to - which is thankfully large enough to read! - and it would be probably be easier for you to check that than me trying to discribe placement (I always hated map tests in college ^^; )

Yes I can agree with the whole hating map tests...geography and the like was so NOT my cup of tea.

This is so nice and helpful, I always love the maps in my fantasy books.

Thank you I have always been a fan of the Maps in fantasy books as well, it really helps the reader visualize the characters on their journey. It also helps so how far they have to go to accomplish their goal. (LOTR is a good example)

Nifty looking!

I've always loved drawing and designing maps my fantasy worlds (and others). ^_^

*tee hee* thanks Feel free to share some suggestions for a few of the unnamed points left on the map, I could really use some, especially for some of those outer points.

Where is Bord'wan?

-?-

[identity profile] lynx212.livejournal.com 2007-11-10 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
sorry but Bord'wan doesn't ring a bell with me. Would you be so kind as to tell me a bit about it and what happened there in the series and/or Manga?

Thanks

Bord'wan is a town where they found golems. They met Crowley there. It's one of the main events of the video game, as well as taking up a few episodes in the anime. I don't know if it was in the manga because I have only read a few manga.

But I looked at the canon map and it's not there, so forget what I said. I don't think they ever specify where it is when they talk about it, so I couldn't expect you to know!

Hey I remember that now...my husband played that game Curse of the crimson elixir right?

Thanks for bringing that to my attention...how about You pick a point on the map and I'll label it Bord'wan? Sound like a plan to you? Hope so.

THANKS!!! *hugs*

I think it should be somewhere near Lior, because in the game, they walked from Bord'wan to Lior. But you pick a spot... I'm worried I'll be horribly wrong! ^^

Yes, it was Curse of the Crimson Elixir. I liked the battle system and the versatility of Ed's fighting, but it was kind of anticlimactic... Still, a decent game.

Don't worry about being "wrong" just have fun with it, I am there are so many places that have not been put on any map that I have found that who's to say where it really is. (hope that made sense)

And really ...I would be honored if you picked the point. *blinkblink*

Um... How about South-West of Lior, North-West of Aquroya? (But East of North City.)

Sounds like a winner to me ^_~

Thanks to all of the input on this I feel this map is going to look awesome when it's done. *hugs* The UIA-verse is really coming together.

york island. that was the island teacher left them at to train and stuff, and where they found wrath in the anime. did you use the place from novel vol 3? just wondering.

^_~

[identity profile] lynx212.livejournal.com 2007-11-10 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I will gladly include york island and if you have an idea of where it is on the map please let me know. ^_^

and what place in novel vol 3 are you talking about?

Re: ^_~

[identity profile] greedy-lover.livejournal.com 2007-11-10 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
i think york island is maybe 20 feet from dublith? i might ask because i'm not sure. the place from novel 3 is called wisteria. it's says that it is deep within wastelands borders of Eastern Command.

Re: ^_~

[identity profile] lynx212.livejournal.com 2007-11-14 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Wisteria...that one is new to me but thats the whole purpose of me posting this is to learn more about the world of FMA. Wisteria sounds like a go to me...I like the sound of it too.

~Thanks for sharing look for it next time I post this map and let me know what you think of where I placed it...or if ya want to you could ick the spot yourself (up to you) ^_^

Re: ^_~

[identity profile] greedy-lover.livejournal.com 2007-11-14 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Wisteria, i guess you will have to guess since it was in a novel and that was it. some people might know though. glad to be of service though ^^

YAY

Cool deal...I'll be moving Dublith to it's proper place thanks to the info from Dragonimp and I'll make york island the closest point to it and if there isn't a close point I'll place a new one, Thanks. (I am so enjoying this map thing and you guys have helped a ton!)
